Learn how business functions such as marketing, finance, human and physical resources work together as part of a whole business. Name: Applied Business GCE (Single award) Qualification title: Applied Business GCE (Single award) Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment The A2 course comprises one examination and two pieces of coursework, which will be marked internally and moderated by the examination board (See details above). Business Development, Unit 8, is a synoptic unit, assessed at the end of the course by means of controlled assessment, involving 15 hours of timed work, prepared for in advance. Managing and Developing People, Unit 9, is assessed by means of a coursework assignment, linked to a business of your choice. Marketing Decisions, Unit 10, is assessed by means of an examination, initially taken in January, with the opportunity to re-sit in June.
