Unit 1 : Literary Genres: Drama - Tragedy This unit involves the study of one Shakespeare play and one further drama text. You will study the Tragedy component. Unit 2 : Literary Genres: Prose and Poetry Study of one prose text and one poetry text. A-Level : Unit 1 : Literary Genres Unit 2 : Texts and genres: Political and Social writing Non-exam assessment: Theory and independence Study of two texts: one poetry and one prose text chosen by the student, informed by study of the Critical Anthology.
