This is a lively, innovative and intellectually challenging course that trains students in both the creativity and technical aspects of art & design giving them a taste of specialities available to them for further study. Topics on this course include: - Visual recording in art & design - Materials, techniques and processes in art & design - Concepts in art & design - Visual communication in art & design - Contextual influences in art & design including - Five core units include sculpture, ceramics, print, painting and photography - Final term students complete a final project (equivalent to 1 unit)
