This course aims to give students a good general understanding of business and the economy, such as the recession, business failures, government crisis and football club takeovers, with a practical and 'real life' style of delivery. The units cover all major elements of a business - marketing, accounts, human resources, plus the impact of legislation and the effects of changes in the national and local economy. This course is assessed only by coursework - there are no exams or tests. This form of assessment suits students who are well organised, and who like to be able to develop their own areas of interest.
