This course is for students who have gained a grade 8 at Maths GCSE. Topics studied include Core Mathematics you will extend your knowledge of GCSE topics such as Algebra and Trigonometry as well as learning new topics such as Calculus, in Mechanics you will learn how to describe mathematically the motion of objects and how they respond to forces acting upon them, in statistics you will learn a range of methods aimed at sampling, representing and interpreting sets of data. You will also study Probability and Hypothesis Testing and in Decision Mathematics you will learn how to solve a range of problems involving networks. A range of Algorithms will enable such problems to be solved. You will study 9 units over 2 years.
