This course offers students the option of studying and gaining knowledge and practical experience in all 3 performing arts mediums Drama, Dance and Music. The main aim of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to explore a wide range of performance styles with particular emphasis on integrating the performing arts. The course is designed to give equal focus to dance, acting and singing. There are many exciting performance opportunities on the course and all students will be expected to fully participate in performance and theatre workshops. Students will have access to state of the art performance facilities including an exceptional professional theatre space, sprung dance and rehearsal studios, music composition and recording studios plus full sound and lighting technical spaces. BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts Musical Theatre Subsidiary Diploma extends specialist work related focus and covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the appropriate vocational sector. It offers greater flexibility and a choice of emphasis through the units. It is broadly equivalent to one GCE A Level.
