Second year students, to support their studies and the transition from AS to A2 learning, study either the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) or Professional and Academic Study Skills (PASS). The EPQ involves students in an extended project of their own choosing requiring students to show their ability to plan, deliver and present a piece of work at Level 3 (A/AS) standard. The EPQ is graded at A* to E and the qualification carries the same amount of points as AS qualifications. The EPQ requires a lot of independent research which is discussed and reviewed with an allocated EPQ supervisor.
