You will study all aspects of children's care learning and development - Promote communication - Promote equality and - Engage in personal development - Principles for implementing duty of care - Understand and promote child and young person development - Understand how to safeguard the well being of children and young people - Support children and young people's health and safety - Develop positive relationships with children and others involved in their care - Working together for the benefit of children and young people - Understand how to support positive outcomes for children and young people - Context and principles for early years' provision - Promote learning and development in the early years - Promote children's welfare and well being in the early years - Professional practice in early years settings - Support children's speech- language and communication - Plus a range of optional units Maths- English and IT will be an important part of your course. You will continue to develop these skills and may work towards a qualification at an appropriate level.

Please discuss this with your interviewing tutor You need to bring pen- notebooks and folders to every lesson. It is expected that you will bring a memory stick to save and back up your work. Educational trips may be part of our course and students will be expected to contribute towards them.
