Award in Community Sports Leadership

UPDATED 20151028 13:02:28

The award gives people aged 16 and over the skills needed to lead groups in safe sporting and recreational activity. It encourages participants to take responsibility for others, develops organisational and communication skills and instils confidence in people for whom leading groups in sporting activities is a new experience. The course is for one year, with two hours of theory and practical work a week. There are no exams to be taken. Even if you do not consider yourself to be a great sportsperson, you will get a great deal from this award. This course forms part of the portfolio of qualifications being offered within our Centre of Vocational Excellence in Sport and Recreation.
