Starting relationships is not always easy. There are always risks; the risk of rejection, embarrassment, reminders of the past and threats to self esteem. How reliable are first impressions? How does one build on these? How does one gauge the 'others' interest? We will explore these issues. To share an interest in relationships in a safe, warm environment.By the end of the course, you will be able to: Appreciate the importance of first impressions. State how these impressions may change over time. Comment on the accuracy of person perception. Describe 'affinity testing', flirting and embarrassment.
