Archaeology: The Archaeology of Childhood

An investigation of aspects of ancient childhood attitudes towards birth and children, education, toys and games, work, children in religion and diseases and deaths of children. Children are often almost invisible in history and archaeology, but every ancient adult was once a child. How can archaeology shed light on the experiences of children in the past?
