A History of York: Tudor and Stuart York

The aim of the course is to examine the dramatic changes in the city of York as a result of the wars of the Roses and the Reformation. We shall look at the Tudor Monarchs, especially Henry VIII's state visit, the Dissolution of the Monasteries, religious persecution and Tudor architecture and social history.
