This course is designed and aimed at students who enjoy sport but do not want to focus on one area. You will learn about risks in sport, physiology, anatomy, coaching and lots more in addition to developing your practical skills within the sporting sector. This course is a 60 credit diploma and consists of 3 mandatory units plus 1 mandatory specialist unit in addition to optional units all of which should provide a total of 90 credits. Mandatory units - All of the below must be completed: Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport The Physiology of Fitness Assessing Risk in Sport Mandatory specialist units - One must be completed Fitness Testing for Sport and Exercise Principles and Practices in Outdoor Adventure Optional units Sports Coaching Fitness Training & Programming Fitness Testing for Sport & Exercise Current issues in Sport Sports Development Practical Team Sports Practical Individual Sports Sports Nutrition Psychology for Sports Performance Technical and Tactical Skills in Sport
