British Sign Language (BSL)

This Level 1 course is for people with no previous experience of learning sign language. It is also a suitable course for those people who have an interest in working with deaf people and is the first step to a career in BSL/English interpreting. It is essential that you commit to attending all classes and practise in your own time to reinforce your learning.

Name: British Sign Language (BSL) Qualification title: Award in British Sign Language (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment The 1st unit will be internally assessed. You will have a 4-5 minute conversation with your tutor that will be recorded. The next 2 units will be externally assessed based on 4-5 minute conversation with your tutor.
