This course is suitable for anybody who wishes to gain counselling skills- and is ideal for anyone who works in a helping capacity in a variety of contexts- such as support workers- teachers- social workers- youth workers and others. It is also relevant to those who are intending to start training in counselling- either in this college or other institutions of further and higher education. We accept students who may not have direct work experience but do have experience in a helping capacity- subject to satisfactory interview. The course is highly valued by employers and the University of Wolverhampton advises students to undertake this course before applying to their postgraduate course in Counselling Psychology.
