Sociology is about people and how our lives are shaped by society. Those who are interested in human activity, behaviour and organisation will be interested in Sociology. In studying the topics below, the AS and A Level course allow students to evaluate sociological theories and evidence that seek to explain human behaviour and the workings of society. Students will study two main themes through a series of topics. The themes are: 1) Socialisation, culture and identity 2) Social differentiation, power and stratification
