This course is designed to build on the performing, composing and listening skills gained at GCSE. Music will be studied in a way which emphasises their inter-dependence. The examination is a mixture of practical and academic work. In addition to normal lessons, ensemble (Choir, Orchestra or Band) and instrumental practice time, a minimum of 3 hours per week is necessary for background reading and listening. This course is for the serious musician.
