The Launchpad Centre provides high quality learning support to learners with Learning Difficulty and Disability (LDD) as detailed below, and has successfully supported learners from Pre Entry Level to Level 4 with barriers to learning including: SpLD / Dyslexia Dyspraxia Dyscalculia Asperger’s Syndrome / ASD Autism ADD/ ADHD Visual impairment Hearing impairment Mental health difficulties Medical issues Physical disabilities Moderate LDD Multiple LDD Complex Needs Our supported internships programme helps young people aged 16 to 24 with complex learning difficulties or disabilities to find work. The Launchpad Supported Internship scheme will support young people and adults to find a job that suits the abilities with support from a range of specialist staff who work with the individual in the work place as well as dedicated study times outside the work place. Launchpad teaching teams work in partnership with Wigan Councils Supported Employment Service to create a unique study programme so all interns can learn the necessary skills to do the job Supported Internship Study programmes include on-the-job training with our expert Training Systematic Instruction (TSI) coaches responsible for supporting both interns and their employers. Our Interns can also take the opportunity to develop other relevant skills, such as effective communication or understanding money. Interns will also have the opportunity to continue to develop literacy and numeracy skills and undertake externally accredited qualifications.
