BTEC Dance

The course is equivalent to 1.5 A levels. There are no written exams and the large majority of the work comes from coursework and performance pieces. There are 2 externally assessed units which have to be passed within a certain time frame and in order to pass the whole course. Students will have the opportunity to plan, choreograph and perform in a variety of settings and learn about various strands of Dance. During the course all students will also develop their research and analysis skills and improve both their written and verbal literacy skills through learning about key choreographers, style and history.
