AS Level History - Introduction – What are the important questions in your subject? If you are fascinated by the past and are interested in how countries have changed over time, how individuals have made their mark and how ideas and attitudes have had their effect on people and societies, then History is for you. What are the main transferable skills a student will develop? History helps you to develop independent study skills perfect for university and the work place. Students will be encouraged to conduct independent research, work in teams to create presentations, formulate arguments and debate historical questions. Students will learn to critically question evidence and develop their ability to argue both orally and in writing.
