Year 1: • The Business Environment: the local, national and international factors that operate in businesses and how they organise themselves to succeed. • Business Resources: the materials buildings, equipment, knowledge and people that make up a business including financial resources. • Marketing: how a business builds a relationship with their customers through branding and loyalty. Year 2: • Business Communications: how information is stored, moved and distributed through a business. • Recruitment and Selection in Business: you will create and apply for a position within a business, taking the role of both the employer and the employee. • Starting a Small Business: you will produce a business plan which will include all of the elements learnt in your other units.
