Interested in sport? The BTEC First Award is a four-unit course that you can study alongside GCSEs or other BTEC level 2 programmes. You will look at a range of topics such as fitness testing, training, sports leadership and practical sports performance. Entry requirements: Two or more subjects at grade C and an average of E to D grades in your GCSEs or the equivalent based on your best eight subjects Course assessment: Three of the units are internally assessed through a range of activities such as written coursework and direct observation of skills. The fitness for sport and exercise unit is externally assessed using online tests. Each unit will be awarded a Pass, Merit or Distinction.
