Film Studies AS/A Level

In this course students will learn how meaning is created in film by the use of cinematography, lighting, framing, mise-en-scene, music, editing, genre and narrative. They will also learn how films are critically recognised culturally and historically, in both the US and Europe, by studying a range of texts over a variety of time periods.
