AS level Product design students follow the AQA specification. Students have to complete two units to gain the qualification. Unit 1 (PROD 1) Materials, Components and Application is worth 50% of the AS level. It is assessed by a two hour examination, which students sit in June. Unit 2 (PROD 2) is called Learning Through Designing and Making, which is coursework and worth 50% of the final AS grade.
