GCE AS Level in ICT

AS ICT allows students to develop their knowledge and understanding of ICT systems through practical experience. All lessons will take place in a computer room and emphasis is placed on both the technical skills required to solve a problem and the theory behind problem solving. Students will be exposed to a wide range of software and hardware and had a degree of autonomy over their client. AS students are also required to extend their knowledge of broader ICT issues and consequences in our world. Learners must be able to take a step out of their comfort zone and consider the implications that different types of users have on systems design and the consequences that increasing use of ICT bring on society.
