Will the course give me what I want? Course content This course will introduce you to production skills, methods and knowledge that are used in the media & communications industry. You will use this learning to develop media work in: Pre-Production & Research Skills Written and Presentation Skills Music Video Production Video Editing Exploring Digital Photography Understanding the Media Industries Animation Radio Production You will be taught by experienced and dedicated lecturers in excellent purpose-built digital media facilities that have been awarded Skillset Academy for digital media status by the Learning & Skills Council. We believe that it is important to support you so that you can pursue a future in creative media production, so the course will include helping you to improve and develop your communication skills with additional Functional Skills qualification study. You will receive group and individual tutorial support to keep you on track and if needed additional learning support is available. What have students who have taken this course in the past progressed to? Progression onto a Level 3 qualification such as the BTEC Level 3 Diploma Creative Media Production TV & Film or Music Technology. Level 3 courses provide a transferrable skills base for preparation for university or working within the creative media industries. How will I learn? You will participate in both practical and theoretical tasks. Assessment is entirely coursework with no exams.
