AS/A Level Sociology

Sociology is a stimulating, contemporary and challenging subject which explores how British society is organised. It will help develop analytical and critical ways of thinking and involves studying the influence of social forces such as social class, ethnicity, racism, religion, gender, age, and globalisation on both social institutions such as the education system, the family and the criminal justice system, and individual actions. It will examine how sociologists use scientific methods and data to support or challenge sociological argument.
