This course is for those with a keen interest in the hairdressing industry who are looking to gain the necessary skills, knowledge and experience required to become a professional junior stylist. There are two different options available for completion of this course; evening classes or fast-track. What will I Study: The Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing is a job ready qualification providing general skills and knowledge that employers expect of an entry level hair stylist. Working within our commercially equipped hair salons, each student will learn the skills required to gain competence at this level. . . You will learn all aspects of European ladies' hairdressing, including units such as:. Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety. Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation. Advise and consult with clients. Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp. Cut hair using basic techniques. Change hair colour. Style and finish hair. Set and dress hair. . There are a number of optional units which can be added to fulfil qualification requirements**. Fulfil salon reception duties. Plait and twist hair. Attach hair to enhance a style. Relax hair. Perm and neutralise hair.
