The government has set a target of achieving 70% of the population participating in sport and physical activity. This course will provide learners with the skills to help the nation achieve a healthier lifestyle. Exercise and fitness is a massive growth area in the UK, with a government drive towards reducing obesity and improving the nations health. This course will prepare you for a career in the sport and active leisure industry as a personal trainer. It will allow you to plan and instruct individual and small group exercise to a range of different clients in a variety of settings. Throughout this qualification you will develop an understanding of the theory underpinning personal training, including anatomy and physiology, principles of exercise and fitness, how to support clients, health and safety, and the principles of nutrition.
