Students at first are offered the opportunity to study core business units that cover the fundamental requirements of the subject allowing students to work towards specialism in specific units. To achieve a BTEC Extended Certificate (equivalent to one A-Level) 6 units have to be completed to Pass, Merit or Distinction standard. A distinction is available for students who complete everything to Distinction standard.
