This course provides an introduction to the sport and leisure sector. It can be used as the first step onto the vocational ladder and preparation for employment or further study. The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who would like to study sport and leisure with a view to an introduction to a career in this industry. You will study the following: - Working in Sport and Leisure - Improving Fitness - The Healthy Body - Risk and Hazards in Sport - Assisting at Events - Taking Part in Sport - Job Opportunities You will also undertake a work placement during the course. All LMC students will receive tutorial support and take a programme of Functional Skills including English and Maths.
