This qualification will develop your knowledge and skills of a range of different software applications suitable for use both in the workplace and domestic environments. It has been designed to provide a route into, or further development of skills in, a wide range of job roles within the dynamic interactive media industry. The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who would like a career in the iMedia industry which could include creative disciplines such as design, games design, sound, video and TV or within the IT industry or who are progressing from appropriate level 1 courses. You will study the following four mandatory units: - Research for Creative Media Production - Communication Techniques for Creative Media Production - The Creative Media Sector - Media Audiences and Products and four optional specialist units: - Video Production - Audio Production - Print Production - Interactive Media Production - Photography Techniques - Animation Techniques - Web Authoring - Digital Graphics for Interactive and Print-based Media - 2D Digital Art for Computer Games - Deconstructing Computer Games - Computer Games Testing - 2D Computer Game Engines - 3D Computer Game Engines - Advertising Production - Writing for the Creative Media - Factual Production for the Creative Media - Creative Media Production Project All LMC students will receive tutorial support and take a programme of Functional Skills maths and English.
