In the AS Further Mathematics course we study: Algorithms; Graph theory; Networks; Linear programming; Game theory; Flows in a network; Matching and allocation problems; Critical path analysis; Dynamic programming; Summation of series; Mathematical induction; Roots of polynomial equations; Complex numbers and Matrices. In the second year of the further mathematics course the strands of mechanics and pure mathematics are developed with additional modules in Mechanics 2 (M2), Mechanics 3 (M3) and Further Pure Mathematics 2 (FP2).
