History

UPDATED 20161005 08:04:00

No human being in the history of the world has been bombarded with more information than you and your generation. Most of this information is trying to make you think in certain ways and do certain things. Studying History at A Level gives you the tools with which face these challenges. It will allow you form your own considered opinions on the world and to understand your position in it. Not only will this course make you a stronger person, it will also make you more attractive to universities and employers. By doing well in A Level History you will have demonstrated that you can build balanced arguments, sit lightly on your conclusions, empathise with different people from different backgrounds and time periods and that you are not afraid of independent reading and writing. It will show that you are curious about the world. Remember: The present is only the leading edge of the past and that today will tomorrow be yesterday.
