This is a work related qualification and is perfect for anyone who is considering a future in the Health and Social Care sector. The course has a large Sociology and Psychology content, looking at all aspects of human growth and development and factors that affect this, including crime, racism, biological factors, life events and disabilities. In lessons you will apply what you learn to real Health and Social Care situations. The course provides career development opportunities and students opting to take the Diploma or Extended Diploma will be on compulsory work placement one day a week, totalling 60 hours work experience throughout the course.
