The Health and Social Care course covers a variety of aspects from the Health and Social Care sector. Throughout the course you will learn how to work as a professional, treating service users with respect and dignity. You will also learn how activities and situations can be adapted to suit the varying needs of individuals. The units you will study include Equality and Diversity, Health and Social Care Values, Human Lifespan Development, Effective Communication, Promoting Health and Wellbeing, Healthy Living and Social Influences on Health and Wellbeing. Assessment is carried out mostly through internally assessed coursework but you will also be required to complete a small number of externally marked tests
