History is an exciting subject which aims to create a detailed understanding of the past using a variety of sources as evidence. It is a subject which is highly regarded by both universities and employers and leads to a wide range of courses and careers as it is a skills based subject promoting analysis and independence.

Name: History Qualification title: History Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment AS - 2 exams equating to 50% of the final AS grade. Both these exams are sat in the May/June of Year 12. A Level - 3 exams (unit 1 - 25%, unit 2 = 15%, Unit 3 = 40% and Unit 4 coursework = 20%).
