Name: A Level Communication and Culture Studies Qualification title: GCE AS Level in Communication and Culture Qualification type: Assessment At AS Level, COMM1, ‘Understanding Communication and Culture’ is a 1 hour 45 minute exam consisting of four questions and worth 50% of the marks, while COMM2 (also worth 50%) is a coursework portfolio consisting of two written pieces and a multimedia presentation. COMM2 is entitled 'The Individual and Contemporary Culture'. At A2, the ratio between the exam and the coursework is the same. COMM3 is the written examination 'Communicating Culture' and COMM4, 'Communication and Culture in Practice' is a coursework portfolio consisting of one written case study and one multimedia presentation.
