Still Life Floral and Pattern The Fauves In this practical course one day course you will produce a still life painting based on the work of influential artists of the Fauvist movement such as Andre Darain and Henri Matisse, who became renowned for using pure and unmixed colours, which they intensified further by applying paint in thick daubs and smears. You will create a full colour painting in oil or acrylic from initial compositional studies of a studio set up of flowers, vases and patterned materials.
