This course concentrates on carving 3D objects. You will have the opportunity to choose an item to carve, which could be an animal, a mythical beast, an architectural detail or you can be guided through the process of carving an ornate finial. You will be shown how to use photos, pictures from magazines or an object that you would like to copy to create your own plans and templates. Previous students have carved heads, animals, a Gothic clock and architectural items. All tools are provided, as is the stone. Please bring your own safety boots.
