This course gives you the opportunity to learn how to operate a 35mm SLR including controlling exposure time and depth of field, and how to use accessories such as lenses and flash. You will be shown how to process your film and how to produce black and white prints in the darkroom, using a range of darkroom techniques including contrast control, dodging and burning. You will also learn various advanced darkroom techniques and special effects such as toning prints and multiple exposures. You will use a professional photographic studio for a portrait shoot and there will be a group discussion on how your final prints turn out, with feedback from the course tutor
