An introductory course using various traditional hand embroidery stitches with diverse materials and surfaces. You will be invited initially to create textile samples exploring colour, surface and texture. You will then be encouraged to develop those techniques using inspirational references and images from around the world to realise your desired outcome, be it textile art, sampler or even a commercial product piece. It could for example be a cushion front or the beginnings of work for interiors.
