The AQA specification covers a very wide range of topics. The exact distribution of what is taught is flexible, but you will be studying both Human and Physical Geography at the same time. All units involve a written examination. Geography is a useful and acceptable qualification in a wide variety of careers. Geography specialists can work in particular areas such as planning, landscape architecture, surveying and education; generally, any career in industry and commerce is available to a student with a geography qualification.
