The four skills of Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing form a major part of the course. Nowadays, languages form a part of many courses of study. French, German, English and Spanish are interrelated disciplines. Economics, Business Studies and Computing with a language can lead to work in European Business Studies. English, History and a language are an excellent preparation for Law. Many degree courses now include opportunities for a year abroad. You will be expected to work individually and in groups. You will also have the opportunity to carry out independent research as part of the coursework element.
