Students will develop their understanding of mathematics and mathematical processes in a way that promotes confidence and fosters enjoyment. The course fosters logical reasoning. Students will recognise how situations may be represented mathematically and gain an understanding of the relationship between real-world problems and mathematical models. This is a good foundation for engineering, design, technological, scientific and medical courses. It is also a good course for those students who want to develop their logical reasoning or statistical analysis skills.
