UPDATED 20151005 13:11:14

If you’re looking for a career in the coaching or teaching industries – or hoping to progress onto a higher education sports degree, then this course provides an excellent foundation for your development towards your goals. All students will complete a ten week placement at a local primary school, where you will deliver physical education lessons to pupils of all ages. Further opportunities to gain experience in leadership and coaching roles through academic and voluntary work will also be available, specifically through volunteer placements. This could involve delivery in after school clubs or could be an additional coaching placement on your independent study day. You will learn through a mix of theory based and practical session to give you a solid grounding in all aspects of coaching.
