The Nuts and Bolts of Poetry

This course provides an introduction for anyone drawn towards writing poetry who would like some insight into the nuts and bolts of the craft in an easy, enjoyable fashion. What will I achieve? - A greater enjoyment of poetry in general and a deeper understanding of its powers in particular - A greater understanding of different forms in Poetry and an ability to practice them in simple writing exercises - A sense of confidence in your own work. Tutor: Jehane Markham Jehane Markham is a poet, librettist and dramatist and has written for BBC Radio, TV and Theatre. Jehane has also written several librettos for community operas including 'On the Rim of the World' for the Royal Opera House and other national opera houses across the UK. Fees 110 GBP inclusive of core resources (please bring note-taking materials)
