You will develop an understanding of biology by exploring how our lifestyles and genes affect our health. AS modules cover: biochemistry, genetics and inheritance, reproduction, biodiversity and the environment. A2 modules cover: nervous system, ecosystems, infection and immunity. We advise that you study Chemistry alongside Biology.

Name: GCE A Level in Biology (OCR) Qualification title: GCE A Level in Biology Qualification type: Assessment There are practical assessments as well as coursework (unit 6) and terminal written exam papers. The coursework comprises 20% of the total mark, and consists of a series of 9 experiments from which your best 3 marks are chosen.
