Develop your ability to work in the Health and Social Care sector. You will develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in working life and further study. The course covers topics such as: -understanding service provision -understanding principles and values -protection and safeguarding -equality and inclusion -human growth and development -introduction to dementia -communication with adults and children -personal and social relationships The course runs three days a week for one year. You will also study Functional Skills in maths and English or ESOL and do a work experience placement for which you will need a DBS.
