The course actively engages students in a wide variety of genres of music, opening up new opportunities for their enjoyment of the subject. It gives them the skills to develop as a well-rounded musician in the three disciplines of performing, composing and appraising. The A level music course encourages students to develop as independent thinkers and reflect on the processes associated with the subject. Students will be able to gain an experience of performing to larger audiences and will be able to work closely with our music technician to create recordings of their performances in our own studio. The course also gives them the opportunity to work with professional musicians and ensembles which in turn may give them valuable connections which they may pursue when they have finished their studies.
